Certificate Validity

Certificate Validity parameters includes three attributes: certbuf_certstartdate, certbuf_certexpiredate and certbuf_sessiontimeout.

It's can be set to let a certificate only valid on a specific day, or a specific period of few consecutive days. Such certificate can be issued for temporary workers or authorized visitors.

certbuf_certstartdate

certbuf_certstartdate defines the certificate valid period's start date.

When administrator launches an instance of SyncOffice Manager, it will set the last valid start day as the same date after two years. For example, for a SyncOffice Manager launched on Oct. 1, 2022, the last day could be selected as the certificate start date is Oct. 1, 2024.

certbuf_certexpiredate

certbuf_certexpiredate defines the certificate valid period's expire date.

When administrator launches an instance of SyncOffice Manager, it will set the last valid expire day as the same date after two years. For example, for SyncOffice Manager be launched on Oct. 1, 2022, the last day could be selected as the certificate expire date is Oct. 1, 2024.

certbuf_sessiontimeout

During certificate life time, each login will activate a work session for SyncOffice. certbuf_sessiontimeout defines how long each session will last.

certbuf_sessiontimeout can be set as 1 hour, or 12 hours. Typically, 1-hour option is for temporary worker or visitor, while 12-hour option is for daily work employee.
